Andrea LeFebvre is currently completing her Doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology. She carried out her psychology residency at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research, with an external rotation at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Andrea has also received practicum-level training at the Montfort Hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and in the dialectical behavioural programs of the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the Eastern Ottawa Psychological Centre.
Andrea joined the Firestone CBT clinic to pursue her interest in providing psychotherapy to adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, with a special interest in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns. Andrea works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach, with a focus on client strengths. She also incorporates strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Andrea strives to foster a warm environment in which clients can safely and confidently work towards their mental health goals.
In her leisure time, Andrea enjoys practicing yoga, playing the piano, and skating and skiing in the winter. She particularly loves finding joy in the present moment with her family and friends.
