Dr. Alison Rose received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from York University. She completed her doctoral residency through the Centre for Psychological Services and Research, with external rotations at the Ottawa Centre for Resilience and the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships. Dr. Rose has received additional training through the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre in the Intensive OCD Treatment Program, the Youth Wellness Centre through St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and York University’s Psychology Clinic.
Dr. Rose joined the Firestone CBT Clinic to pursue her interest in providing psychotherapy to adults seeking support for a broad range of presenting problems, with a special interest in anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Dr. Rose’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and emotion-focused therapy in a client-centered manner characterized by warmth, collaboration, and compassion.
Outside of her work, Dr. Rose enjoys spending time with her loved ones, reading, hiking, and listening to music.
