Dr. Justin Massey is a psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and credentialed by the Canadian Register of Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Massey completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, USA and his predoctoral internship at George Mason University’s Counseling and Psychological Services in Virginia, USA, both accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Massey joined the Firestone CBT Clinic to pursue his interest in treating adults and adolescents with anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (e.g., trichotillomania and excoriation disorder). In addition to spending several years providing treatment for the abovementioned concerns at the Centre for Cognitive Therapy in Ottawa, Dr. Massey was the Coordinator of Eating Disorders Services at the Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center in Maryland, USA.
Dr. Massey’s approach to therapy is cognitive-behavioral. Believing that the change process should be collaborative, Dr. Massey works with clients to develop mutually agreed upon achievable goals for therapy. In his spare time, Dr. Massey enjoys weightlifting, watching football and basketball, and spending time with his dogs.
